Out standing facility, very clean, and the staff are all rockstars. They keep you fairly busy learning the ropes on addiction, the addicts mind, and what got you where you are. You will have plenty of opportunities to get a sponsor and work on your personal growth. The food sucked, unless you like chicken and pasta. The only other dig I have is that they spend too much time on “Granola Becky Guided Meditation”, and “Sound Bath” ( Trying to relax with incessant ringing noise in your ears that you can actually feel) . Aside from that it really was an excellent program with 24 hour staff that love their jobs, and actually care about your wellbeing.

Had and continue to have a great experience with The Retreat. You can tell the team genuinely cares and is doing this for the right reasons—it doesn’t feel like just another program. The clinical leadership is strong and really knows what they’re doing, which makes a big difference in the level of care. Overall, it’s a solid detox/residential option in Orange County if you’re looking for a place that actually puts people first.

I can say sooooooo much but i want to keep it short and sweet First and foremost, The Retreat South Coast deserves all the recognition. As my first time ever entering treatment, it exceeded anything I could have hoped for. I am forever grateful to each and every staff member who made my healing possible. My experience here was truly life-changing. The staff was caring, kind, and incredibly helpful — they made sure I had everything I needed while going through detox/ residential. During one of the most vulnerable times in my life, I felt supported, safe, and genuinely cared for. The groups were thoughtfully planned and structured to help us grow mentally, physically, and emotionally. They didn’t just focus on sobriety — they taught real coping skills and tools for overall wellbeing that I will carry with me long after leaving. You are truly in the best place with the best care possible here. I owe the entire team my deepest gratitude, love, and respect. They made a lasting impact on my life, and I will forever be thankful

Our son came to us one night to tell us that he had a five-year addiction to Xanax and that he tried to quit on his own, but started having blackouts and anxiety. He googled how to self detox from Xanax and the first thing he read was a warning that self detox from Xanax is extremely dangerous could cause seizures. My son called the support line provided by the website and spoke to a support person who spent a lot of time talking to him and recommended a treatment center in Santa Ana California called “The Retreat South Coast”. The support person called us and explained everything. He told us that this treatment center was very good very qualified staff, nurses, and doctors with 24 seven care. The treatment center is a six maximum patient facility. The support person said that he would arrange flights and call insurance. My son had a flight first thing the next morning. The first seven days is critical detox, where my son has a doctor and nurses watching him 24/7. The staff updated us regularly. Our son said detox was rough but the staff was so supportive and caring made it much easier. He has daily group therapy, which staff makes a potentially uncomfortable situation, very comfortable. They are very supportive and nonjudgmental. When the staff feels like you are ready, they take patients out on well deserved outings to the beach or to the gym, very exciting. He’s allowed 2 phone calls a week but if you need more, they will work with you. His phone calls have been extremely positive. He said that the staff is amazing. Very kind people. The support is amazing and he really feels so cared for. He said he was starting to feel like himself again and was very thankful for what the staff has done for him. My son has decided to stay an extra month for continued support and told us not to worry because he was in the best hands. He is very grateful. We are extremely grateful. Thank you team!

This facility made a difficult time for our family much easier. I can honestly say the staff here truly cares. Everyone was kind, compassionate and supportive. I’m thankful that they kept me informed throughout the process and for the positive impact they had on our lives.

Personalized Treatment for Cocaine Addiction

Cocaine addiction can escalate quickly, leading to serious physical, emotional, and behavioral consequences. The intense highs and crashes associated with cocaine use create a cycle that is difficult to break without professional support. At The Retreat South Coast, we provide evidence-based cocaine addiction treatment Southern California, combining medical detox, clinical therapy, and structured recovery planning to help individuals safely stop using and build long-term stability.

Our goal is to help people safely detox, address the underlying causes of their addictions, and build the tools needed for lifelong recovery. Whether you’ve been struggling for months or years, there is a path to healing, and we are here to help you take that first step.

Understanding Cocaine Addiction

Cocaine is a highly addictive stimulant that increases dopamine levels in the brain, triggering intense euphoria, energy, and confidence. These effects are short-lived, though, leading people to take repeated doses to maintain the high. Over time, the brain adapts, requiring more cocaine to achieve the same effect, which quickly leads to addiction.

Signs of Cocaine Addiction

Cocaine addiction can be difficult to recognize at first, but some common warning signs include:

  • Binge use, taking multiple doses in a short period.
  • Intense cravings and loss of control over drug use.
  • Irritability, paranoia, or mood swings between highs and crashes.
  • Neglecting responsibilities at work, home, or school.
  • Financial problems due to excessive spending on cocaine.
  • Physical symptoms such as weight loss, insomnia, or nasal damage from snorting.
  • Increased risk-taking behavior or legal trouble.

The Dangers of Cocaine Use

Cocaine is not only highly addictive—it also poses serious health risks, including:

=

Heart Problems

Increased heart rate, high blood pressure, and risk of heart attack.

=

Mental health effects

Anxiety, paranoia, depression, and suicidal thoughts.

=

Neurological damage

Seizures, strokes, and long-term cognitive impairment.

=

Risk of overdose

Cocaine can cause fatal overdoses, especially when mixed with other substances like fentanyl.

Because cocaine withdrawal does not cause life-threatening physical symptoms like opioids or alcohol, many people believe they can quit on their own. However, the psychological withdrawal symptoms—such as intense cravings, depression, and anxiety—can make discontinuation extremely difficult without professional support.

Our Approach to Cocaine Addiction Treatment Southern California

At The Retreat, we provide a structured, individualized approach to help people overcome cocaine addiction. Our cocaine addiction treatment program Southern California combines medical care, therapy, and holistic healing to treat recovery’s physical, emotional, and mental aspects.

Medical Detox and Withdrawal Management

Although cocaine withdrawal does not typically cause physical dangers like seizures, the psychological effects can be overpowering. Withdrawal symptoms may include:

Severe depression and suicidal thoughts

Intense cravings that increase the risk of relapse

s

Anxiety, irritability, and agitation

Fatigue, insomnia, and difficulty concentrating

At The Retreat, we provide:

  • 24/7 medical monitoring to ensure safety and comfort
  • MAT (medication-assisted treatment) to stabilize mood and reduce cravings
  • Psychological support to help manage depression and emotional distress

Detox is just the first step, though. People set the stage for sustained recovery during the next phase of treatment.

Individualized Therapy for Long-term Healing

Cocaine addiction is often linked to underlying emotional struggles, stress, or past trauma. Therapy helps individuals break the cycle by addressing the root causes of addiction and teaching healthier coping mechanisms. Our therapeutic approach includes:

CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy)

Helps individuals recognize triggers and develop new ways of thinking.

DBT (dialectical behavior therapy)

Teaches emotional regulation and distress tolerance.

MI (motivational interviewing)

Strengthens commitment to recovery and helps individuals regain control.

Trauma-informed therapy

For those whose addiction is tied to unresolved emotional pain.

Each person receives a personalized treatment plan to target their specific struggles and strengths.

Group and family support

Addiction thrives in isolation, but recovery is strengthened by connection. At The Retreat, we appreciate the importance of community and support by offering:
  • Group therapy sessions, where individuals share experiences and gain encouragement.
  • Family counseling, helping loved ones understand addiction and rebuild trust.
  • Peer support networks, providing a sense of accountability and motivation.

Healing doesn’t just happen in treatment—it happens in relationships too, and we help people build strong, healthy connections that support their sobriety.

Holistic approaches to wellness

Cocaine addiction affects the whole person, so we incorporate holistic treatments that promote healing beyond just abstinence. These include:

  • Nutritional therapy to restore physical health and energy.
  • Exercise and fitness programs to reduce stress and boost mental clarity.
  • Meditation and mindfulness techniques to help manage cravings and anxiety.
  • Life skills training to prepare people for a successful, drug-free future.

By treating the mind, body, and spirit against cocaine addiction treatment Southern California, we create a strong foundation for lasting recovery through cocaine addiction recovery.

Supporting Your Journey

Preventing Relapse and Staying Sober

One of the primary challenges in cocaine addiction recovery is avoiding relapse. Cocaine cravings can be intense, and environmental triggers can make it easy to fall back into old patterns. That’s why The Retreat focuses on long-term relapse prevention strategies, including:

  • Aftercare planning, including outpatient therapy and sober living options.
  • Relapse prevention therapy to recognize and avoid high-risk situations.
  • Ongoing counseling and support groups to maintain motivation.
  • Coping skills training to handle stress without turning to substances.

With the right tools and support system, individuals can build a future free from cocaine addiction.
